Our Freelance Recruitment Process
Our dedicated team is on hand to assist with all your freelance staffing but the process begins with you. What skills do you need? Where and when do you need a freelancer? For How Long?
When you contact us to find a freelancer on your behalf our Account Managers will ask you for details of what you are looking for, for how long and what experience you would require from the freelancer. Once we have this information we will begin to match freelancers who we believe will be the perfect fit for you and your project.
In the meantime if you are a new Client, we will ask you to complete a Client Registration Form so that we can get you set up in our system.
We will use our internal resources to find the right freelancer for you and confirm their availability before suggesting them for the project.
All of our freelancers undertake right to work and suitability checks when registering with us, so all we will need to do is find one who is a perfect fit for the skills you require and available for your dates. We will always endeavour to have confirmed their availability before sending our suggestions over so there are no disappointments later on down the line.
Suggested CV’s and Shortlists
We will then send you across a number of suggested CV’s for you to check out the options available to you.
A shortlist of CV’s for suitable freelancers will be sent to you in order for you to select those who you may be interested in.
The team will continue checking availability of other options at this point to ensure that you are not missing out on anyone, and so may continue to send over suitable options whilst you are reviewing the shortlist.
Once you have made your selection, we will draw up the relevant paperwork. When hiring our talent you can rest assured that all legal requirements are covered for you.
All you need to do is let us know who you would like to book, and we will then contact the freelancer, verbally confirm the booking with them and draw up the booking forms for you. All costs are detailed on the booking forms, and expenses agreed in advance of the booking, if relevant.
As members of the Association of Professional Staffing Companies all of our contracts are APSCo model contracts, and as such cover all obligations under the Conduct Regulations, the Agency Worker Regulations (2010), and the Income Tax (Earnings and Pensions) Act (2003 ). If you have any concerns or questions regarding any legal aspects of our work, we have staff on hand to answer those for you, so all that you need to do is keep doing what you do best—producing great content.
Soon after a contract has started – or as soon as it has ended in the case of very short contracts – your consultant will be in touch. This is simply to check that everything has gone well and to get feedback on the freelancer we have provided, the quality of their work and the service you have received.
All feedback is used constructively and in the unlikely event of an issue or problem we will endeavour to resolve it as soon as possible.
If you have specific Timesheets that you need completing four internal processes, then we can get these sorted for you with the freelancer. The freelancer will also complete our weekly Online Timesheets detailing all time worked and any agreed expenses.
After each completed week of work, or after the booking has finished for shorter contracts, we will invoice on behalf of our freelancer, detailing the dates worked, any additional hours and expenses.
