How We Work
We are very selective and less than 5% of the freelancers who ask for representation secure a position on our books.
If you think you’ve got what it takes, then we’d love to hear from you. Register your details online, submit your CV and tell us why you’d like to work with us.
Our Registration Process
Register here on our website, with your most up to date CV and your application will be sent to our Bookings Team to review.
The team will look over your skills and experience, and if our current client requirements match your skillset, and we have enough room in your Department, then we will be in touch to move forward with your application to join the TCC family.
Going forward with your application
We want to hear all the wonderful things that your previous Clients have said about you, so we will ask you to provide two references, and might have a few questions to get a better gauge of your current situation, including asking about employment status and rates.
If your references are top notch, and employment status and rates are in line with what is required from our clients, we’ll invite you in for a coffee and a chat with one of our experienced Account Managers to make sure everyone is 100% happy. This is a chance for you to tell us all about your experience, employment history, and your skills.
We use this time to really get to know you and what you are looking for, to make sure we can match you with the most suitable clients and projects, and this is also our chance to explain how we work when it comes to bookings, meeting clients, communication, invoicing and much more!
Any questions you have will be answered in this meeting.
Welcoming you on board
Once the interview is complete, you will usually hear from us the same day to let you know if you have been successful. We will email you a ‘Welcome On Board’ email, along with getting any necessary paperwork and information from you to make you active on our books.
Once you have been made active you will then be ready to start being introduced to our clients!
Once we have all the paperwork complete, our Account Managers will start considering you for suitable work and begin actively marketing you to our Clients. If a job comes in that we think you’d be suitable for, we will contact you to see if you are interested and available. We will give you as much detail as we get from the client about the project and will discuss the client budgets with you.
If you are happy to be put forward, we will send your TCC Branded CV over to the client along with any suitable links and reels.
We will keep you posted on any developments of the job, whether it goes ahead or not.
Your first Booking
If a client like what they see and want to book you in, we will confirm all the details with you and the client in regard to location, call times, rates, kit etc. Once everything is agreed, we will create booking forms for yourself and the client to confirm the booking.
Please do keep us posted on how your placement is going, we love to hear how you are getting along. Our Account Managers will continue to chat with the client too to ensure the booking runs as smoothly as possible.
After the Booking
At the end of each week of your booking, you will be asked to complete your timesheet through our online portal. Once you have filled this out, a self-bill invoice is created on your behalf, and we send our invoice across to the client.
You will be paid within 21 days of your self-bill invoice, if not sooner, or can choose to make use of our optional early payment facility.
Your first booking is complete with The Crewing Company, and hopefully will be the start of many!
