Bio

With a background in Children’s and Live TV, Stephanie’s credits include Ministry of Mayhem and Richard & Judy.

Inspired to start her own freelance agency in late 2005, The Crewing Company was incorporated in early 2006 and Steph now owns one of the UKs most respected employment agencies for the creative industries.

Steph is Deputy Chair of the Skillset Facilities Skills Council, is listed in the Who’s Who of Britain’s Young Business Leaders, is a mum of two boys and a girl, and used to host her own breakfast show on Radio Caroline.

Cj Harrison
Joint MD

Bio

As the first employee of the company, Cj has worked across almost every role in the organisation and knows the company, it’s systems and processes inside out (she designed most of them!)

An associate member of the Chartered Institute of Professional Development, she runs our HR function, is a recruitment and employment legislation expert and understands our CRM and Finance systems like no other!

Her first love is the theatre and while she’s not being a recruitment back office guru, she’s an international set designer. Darling!

Stuart Hatton
Director

Bio

After a brief career as a door to door salesman and an even briefer career trying to become a rock star, Stuart spent six years working in the petrochemical industry, two of these running his own consultancy business.

In 2006 Stuart helped Steph to launch The Crewing Company and in late 2007 joined as full time joint Managing Director.

For Stuart, customer service is paramount and his straightforward and honest approach to recruitment is refreshing for both customers and candidates alike.

Matthew Smith
Director of Finance

Bio

Having worked in recruitment for over ten years, across a variety of different sectors, Matt brings with him a wealth of financial experience – excuse the pun!

He is a part qualified accountant and is continuing his studies alongside his role of leading the TCC finance team.

A keen traveller who likes to experience different countries and cultures, the destinations on Matt’s bucket list are being ticked off one by one. Next stop, Bora Bora! (hopefully!)

Laura Davis
Client Relationship Manager

Bio

Laura joined us in 2012, starting as a Bookings’ Assistant, she then became an Account Manager where she worked with a number of our prestigious clients and freelancers for over 5 years. Now as our Client Relationship Manager Laura loves leading the Bookings Team and helps with all things client and freelancer related!

Laura has a degree in photography, loves to dance, play scrabble and is currently learning Italian.

Jay Williamson
Senior Account Manager

Bio

Jay started her journey with The Crewing Company in March 2015 after finishing a degree in Media, Culture & Society at The University of Hull and then working in the industry as a Production Assistant.

Her favourite author is Martina Cole, she thoroughly enjoys country music and watches a bit too much Netflix – so make sure to give her your recommendations!

Melody Ramsey
Senior Account Manager

Bio

Melody joined The Crewing Company after completing a Master’s degree in Media and Journalism at Newcastle University, where she discovered her passion for the TV industry.

Born and bred in Newcastle upon Tyne, Melody is most excited to move to London for unlimited access to the Harry Potter studios and the makeup department in Selfridges. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and binge-watching trashy reality TV shows.

Becky Grimaldi
Account Manager

Bio

Becky joined us as an Account Manager in January 2019 from a background in retail and finance.

She is of Sicilian descent and a serious pizza connoisseur (she says the best she ever had was at Pizano’s in Chicago). In fact she loves it so much she even has a pizza tattoo.

Becky is currently teaching herself the piano and ukelele from YouTube videos.

Katherine Gibson
Account Manager

Bio

Katherine joined us as Account Manager in February 2019 from a major camera hire firm and has a degree in TV Production.

She’s one of our sportier team members having recently run twelve half marathons in just ten months! She’s currently training for the London and Berlin Marathons.

When she’s not running she loves a good Gin & Tonic!

Jimmy Barrett
Account Manager

Bio

Jimmy joined us as Account Manager in March 2019 with a few years recruitment experience behind him and having studied Graphic Design, Media, Film Studies and Photography in College – he was a natural addition to the team.

He loves gritty drama movies, boxing and being creative – with a knack for photoshop and animation.

Ask him about his collection of Spotify playlists – he listens to everything; grunge, hip-hop, classical, techno – you name it – it’s on there!

Dan Grant
Accounts Clerk

Bio

Coming from an administrative background, Dan joined the TCC team in September 2016 as an Accounts Clerk. Having previously worked for three and a half years for a nursing agency, he has great knowledge of organisational procedures.

In his spare time, Dan enjoys frequenting the gym, watching sports (football, basketball and boxing), listening to music or podcasts and debating amongst friends. He is a keen Tottenham Hotspur fan and is constantly likened to various celebrities, specifically Chris Brown, Drake and Reggie Yates.

Eve Clarke
PA to the Directors

Bio

Eve originally joined the team way back in 2007 as Personal Assistant and fast became one of our top Consultants. After a little time out to raise her 2 wonderful boys she is now back in the new role of PA to the Directors and we are delighted to have her back with us again.

She is quite the party planner and has developed a talent for baking character cakes! So far in her portfolio are the Blue Power Ranger, BB8 from Star Wars, a Ninja Turtle and even a Spitfire.

She once spotted Johnny Depp dressed as Jack Sparrow chatting to his stunt double whilst working in our offices at Pinewood.

Ana Duarte
Bookings Administrator

Bio

Ana hails from Portugal, has a degree in Film and Moving Image Production from the Norwich University of The Arts and has worked in TV production on shows including TOWIE.

She loves to read, blogs about the books she loves and is writing her own young adult novel!

She is a massive Potterhead (Harry Potter fan), has a habit of bumping into celebrities and cites her biggest achievement as meeting Oprah!

Rosie
Office Dog

Bio

Sister to Dexter, Rosie is one half of the adorable office dogs. She is a Cavapoo (a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mixed with a Poodle) and loves to get up on Steph and Stuart’s laps for an afternoon cuddle session. Laura refers to her as ‘Curly Wurly Rosie’ because of her coat and they are both favourites on our social media.

Dexter
Office Dog

Bio

Brother to Rosie, Dexter is the other half of the irreplaceable office dogs. He is, like Rosie, also a Cavapoo and gets jealous if Rosie gets more attention than him. He has been known to barge her out of the way to get more fuss, and he trails his sloppy chops over the sofa after having a drink of water. They are favourites on our social media.
