DOP Christopher Preston joins TCC

We’d like to welcome DOP Christopher Preston to our books.

Growing up on a farm deep in the Yorkshire dales, it was the arrival of BBC Birmingham’s drama department in the 1980’s to film anther series of All Creatures Great and Small that inspired a young Chris Preston to become a Director of Photography.

Following a course in Cinematography at Bournemouth Film School, Chris’s first break came in the form of Brookside and since then he has worked as DOP on numerous TV Dramas including Hollyoaks, Casualty, Holby City, Doctors and more recently the WWII Drama, Land Girls.

Giving an electronic image the substance and depth of film has become Chris’s stock in trade over the last decade. Whether lighting a simple close up, or a huge night exterior,  his passion for lighting and cinematography is as strong now as it was back in Yorkshire watching the wizards from Brum work their magic.
