I joined in early February 2007. It was meant to be at the end of January, but I’d had my wisdom teeth removed and couldn’t speak, and a huge part of my role as Company PA was to answer the phones.
How did you get into the media industry?
I’ve always had a love of films from an early age and wanted to be part of the film and TV industry. After studying Film Studies and Drama at UWE Bristol, I successfully applied for work experience at BBC White City, working on What Not to Wear. This fuelled my desire to join the industry, and although I was offered a runner position at a commercial company in Soho, I was drawn to TCC because of the vast variety of projects they work on.
What is your mission for this year?
My focus over the next year is to strengthen our position as a trusted partner across the full production cycle – supporting clients from early development through to final delivery. Alongside that, I’m prioritising sustainable growth by deepening key client relationships, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring we’re adapting to industry shifts such as new production technologies and evolving content demands. I will also continue supporting our freelancer community and building on the amazing work we already do with them.
What trends in the media industry are you most excited about right now?
The trends I’m most excited about right now are those reshaping how content is made and consumed. AI in production is a big one! I see it as a tool that helps production teams work more efficiently, giving them more time to focus on creative storytelling
At the same time, changes in distribution, like ad-supported streaming and shifting audience habits, are creating new commercial opportunities.
There’s also a rise in global and creator-led content, which brings fresh voices and stories that aren’t dominated by traditional studios allowing audiences to embrace diverse voices from around the world.
Together, these trends are opening up exciting opportunities for deeper, end-to-end partnerships with clients.
What’s your all-time favourite TV show?
My all time favourite show has to be Schitt’s Creek, which I believe is a masterpiece! I would love to be part of the community, eating at Café Tropical and shopping at Rose Apothecary. I am also a huge fan of Tim Burton and absolute love his movies, in particular Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare before Christmas.
