We’re Getting IR35 Ready!
At The Crewing Company we are ready for the IR35 changes…
Our Account Managers have undergone regular training to be conversant in applying the new rules to booking freelancers, for those engagements which fall within the scope of IR35, and as an agency we are set up to process ‘inside IR35’ bookings in compliance with the off-payroll reform from April 2021.
FOR CLIENTS
If your business is not exempt and the off payroll rules apply:
1. When you call in regards to a job or a project, let us know whether the work falls inside or outside IR35.
2. Before confirming the job, please provide us with a Status Determination Statement (SDS). You may have an internal process, or use HMRC’s CEST tool, or we can provide you with a SDS template if needed.
We are here to support you through these changes and are committed to ensuring a smooth bookings process for all.
For an overview of the IR35 changes, please see our Guide to Getting IR35 Ready, or get in touch with a member of staff or our Compliance Manager, Marilyn Fernandes to know more.
FOR FREELANCERS
Tax rules for freelancers working through personal service companies or partnerships are set to change in April 2021. End hirers/clients of a certain size will be legally responsible for making determinations on whether a freelancer is working in an employee-like manner (inside IR35) or self-employed (outside IR35).
We here at TCC have been busy preparing for the new legislation and are committed to helping our freelancers navigate these changes.
Have a read through our Freelancer FAQ’s to know more, and please do get in touch with a member of staff or our Compliance Manager, Marilyn Fernandes.
