Meet Ryan Alicoon, a Talent Consultant at TCC

At The Crewing Company, we know that finding the right freelancer can make all the difference – and that’s where our team comes in! Meet Ryan, one of our brilliant Talent Consultants, who works closely with clients to match them with the best freelancers for their projects. Let’s dive into his journey.

What’s your all-time favourite TV show?

Easy. Benidorm! Iconic!

Ryan, you’ve got quite the background! Tell us about your experience before joining TCC

I’ve had my fair share of industry adventures! I was a News Producer at Glastonbury, a Production Runner at BT Sport, and worked at QVC as a Studio Coordinator and Associate Producer. Lots of fast-paced, creative environments – perfect training for what I do now!

You started at TCC as a Booking Assistant. What did that role involve?

It was all about supporting the Talent Consultants and ensuring everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. I gained a real insight into how we connect freelancers with incredible projects.

Now you’re a Talent Consultant – what’s changed?

I’ve stepped up! I now manage my own clients, handle bookings, and match brilliant freelancers with exciting projects. It’s fast-moving, varied, and no two days are ever the same!

What has been the most exciting project you’ve worked on?

There have been so many amazing projects, from documentaries to major music events and sports coverage, though many are covered by NDAs. One I can talk about is BBC Election Night for BBC Wales, which featured our talented TCC Sound Recordist, Christian Davis, and TCC Camera Operator, Jamie Turner. It was a real highlight!

What’s the best part of your job?

Without a doubt, it’s working with clients every day and seeing the incredible projects we help bring to life. Every booking makes an impact.
