The Crewing Company (TCC) has struck a deal with BECTU to offer discounted yet recognised Health & Safety training to its roster of freelance talent.
TCC Freelancers will enjoy a rate of £85 and BECTU members an even better rate of £75.
The Creative Industries Safety Passport is a one day health & safety course designed specifically for workers, employed or freelance, working in film, TV, theatre and live events.
It promotes a safety culture based on personal responsibility for safety. This means that it encourages delegates to be pro-active in their own safety and the safety of others.
The course is accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) under their Passport scheme which is a nationally recognised scheme and follows The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) syllabus guidelines as well Creative Skillset’s National Occupational Standards in Health & Safety.
TCC Founder and Joint Managing Director, Stephanie Asplin said: “With so many employers now asking for evidence of health and safety training, this deal gives our freelancers an opportunity to make themselves more employable while encouraging the workforce to take more personal responsibility for their safety at work”
TCC freelancers will be offered a 15% discount on the courses which will run in London at BECTU head office on 25thOctober and in Manchester at MediaCityUK on 7th December.
