Angelika Gorska is a freelance Videographer and Editor based in London, passionate about crafting compelling visual stories.
Over the years, she’s gained extensive hands-on experience across a range of projects. Her work combines technical expertise with creative vision. This experience has deepened her passion for managing the entire production process, from concept development through to the final edit. She always aims to help each project reach its full potential.
Thomas Taylor (TCC’s Talent Coordinator), who joined us in April, had the chance to talk with Angelika after clients gave her great feedback and selected her as Freelancer of the Month.
What brought you into this business?
It was a natural progression from being interested in art at school to studying photography and, later on, filmmaking, as well as having a genuine interest in cinema and wanting to be someone who works in a creative field.
What’s your ideal project to work on?
I love working on short films, collaborating with others and bringing a creative vision to life. It’s a lot of hard work, but seeing the final result and how much work the whole team put into it is always very satisfying.
What’s your favourite film?
The Prestige is probably one of my favourites; the narrative is structured really well, and even with subtle hints at what is happening, you cannot really guess it, making the final reveal really surprising.
What’s your favourite kit that you use?
My lenses, because I really enjoy composing shots and deciding how I want a scene to look, and I think the choice of lens has such a big impact on that. It changes the perspective, depth and overall feel of the shot.
What is life working as a freelancer?
It’s not an easy road; it requires a lot of work and sacrifices. But seeing the results of your work and leaving clients happy always makes it worth it.
