What a journey 2024 was, it was another year of various uncertainties, but that didn’t stop the TCC team from showing resilience and innovation! As we prepare to welcome 2025, we want to take a moment to celebrate some of our wins for 2024—a year that brought challenges, growth, resilience, creativity and triumphs for the remarkable team at The Crewing Company. Whilst our freelancers and the team certainly faced challenges, every obstacle became an opportunity to learn, adapt, and emerge stronger. Together, we embraced change, made bold decisions, and unlocked new possibilities that have set the stage for an exciting future.
Welcoming new clients
Last year, we were thrilled to have welcomed some remarkable new clients to The Crewing Company family. They bring more than just exceptional skills—they’re a pool of dynamic personalities who make your workflow not only seamless but genuinely exciting.
In 2024, we were happy to welcome several new names to our roster, including Bulwer Street Productions Ltd T/A Longway TV, Citco (UK) Limited, Dark Matters TV, Engage Digital Partners Limited, Lux Photodigital Limited, Poke London Limited, SAAS Creative Ltd T/A Venture Videos, TFI Lodestar Limited, Zinc Television Regions Ltd T/A Atomic TV, Cowshed Collective Ltd, Anima Films, and Carwow Ltd. We are honoured to support these incredible teams and look forward to helping them achieve even greater creative heights in the years to come!
Incredible projects our Freelancers have worked on
Whilst our editors cover all genres across long form and short form media, in this section we are focussing on some of our editors who are celebrated, not only for their technical expertise, but also for their extensive experience in the commercial sector. Trusted by leading brands, they excel in crafting advertisements, social and branded content that resonate with audiences.
In 2024 TCC’s Senior Editor Stefan Worburton (as a part of a wider group of creatives) contributed to Girl&Bear’s work on Cadbury’s campaign for the new Dairy Milk &More bar by crafting the cutdowns. Created in partnership with VCCP London, the campaign introduces this indulgent new product with a clever mix of humour and creativity. Beyond the outdoor campaign, VCCP’s content studio, Girl&Bear, joined forces with award-winning director Tom Speers and SMUGGLER. Together, they produced two 20-second films, designed to deliver sharp, witty messages in a short timeframe. The result is a dynamic campaign that captures attention and celebrates Cadbury’s latest innovation.
Stefan also worked with Prism on the Lenovo x F1 partnership. The result? A stunning 30-second film showcased live during Lenovo’s Innovation World 2024 Keynote. The film announced Lenovo as an official Global Partner for the F1. Prism is an advertising agency focusing on amazing partnerships in Sport & Entertainment.
Long form content for amazing clients
We represent all skillsets – but did you know long form freelancers was one of them? Take a closer look at TCC Editor Hannah MacLeod who contributed her skills to The Yorkshire Auction House (Episode 11, Series 5), working with STV Studios for Discovery+/Really. The episode features auctioneer Angus Ashworth as he travels the country uncovering unique trinkets, fascinating collections, and cherished heirlooms while helping clear homes. STV Studios is one of the UK’s leading producers of scripted and unscripted content and they are the biggest TV production group in Scotland.
Some of our freelancers truly shine when it comes to news work, and Sidney Sonnerberg is undoubtedly one of the standout talents in this area. He edited the first segment of ‘How the media turned on Biden | The Listening Post’ for Al Jazeera. Al Jazeera English is a 24-hour English-language news channel operating under Al Jazeera Media Network.
TCC Editor Sarah Caudrey is also highly skilled in long-form content, having worked on the latest season of ‘Gold Rush White Water’ for Raw TV. Raw is a multi-award winning film and television production company.
Editors experienced in Sport Content
On our roster, we have a talented group of editors who thrive on sports content, often working on some truly captivating projects. TCC’s Editor, Tom Hadley, had an opportunity of working for PTO on a 20-minute countdown to Singapore film for the Professional Triathletes Association. PTO is an athlete-owned organisation dedicated to showcasing the passion, athleticism and determination of professional triathletes; they organise and promote the T100 World Triathlon Tour series. Each event is preceded by several promotional films.
Camera Operator Jamie Turner and Sound Recordist Christian Davis were on location for BBC Wales and S4C, based on College Green with views of the Houses of Parliament. They provided both live and pre-recorded content, which was featured on BBC Wales Evening News and S4C’s Evening News. Their work was a part of BBC Wales’ special General Election 2024 overnight programme, along with our evening news broadcasts on both BBC Wales and S4C.
Education and learning
We also engaged our freelancers on projects aimed at younger audiences and those promoting educational content. A prime example is ‘Time for Phonics Walkthrough’ for Discovery Education that our Editor & Motion Designer Rebecca Hudson worked on. This job included a video for the ‘Time for Phonics’ section of Espresso, an educational platform offering engaging videos and lessons for classroom use. Rebecca created graphics in Illustrator, animated website screenshots in After Effects, mixed audio in Audition, and added final touches in Premiere.
2024 has been an exciting year for many of our freelance editors, and it’s worth highlighting that we also represent a diverse range of talent—producers, directors, DOP’s, camera and sound crew, hair and makeup artists, technicians, photographers, production crews, and more. Take a moment to explore some of their showreels here, and keep an eye out on our website as we continue to showcase even more exceptional talent this winter.
